SonoLofoten 2025 - Injection course

The course will be aimed at those who want more practical training in ultrasound-guided procedures.

We will cover all common procedures, refining technical skills in relation to these, as well as alternative techniques for situations where the preferred technique is not possible to use.

NOTE! You will be pushing each other on the course. We will therefore make the following requirements for all course participants;

Well in advance of the course, you have allied yourself with a course colleague and agreed to cooperate on the course. This means that you will keep the same partner for the entire course - you will not be randomly switched around.

Before the course, you have thoroughly familiarized yourself with adequate medical screening and possible contraindications - as well as adequate preparatory procedures before any form of injection treatment. These procedures must be respected and followed for all injections on the course. (Minimum requirements are agreed upon jointly at the start of the course.)
You have passed the injection course and have worked with injection treatment in clinical practice.

jacobsen allison Professor Jon Jacobsen and Sandra Allison from the USA will be the instructors for this course. They will be available for questions, supervision and discussion as an additional resource for the participants. This will be a unique opportunity to practice injections with some of the world's leading radiologists in the field.

Thursday 14 August
Arrival in the evening. Check-in at hotel, evening at own disposal / loose agreement for joint dinner.
Friday 15 August
08.00 Course start
12.30 Joint lunch
13.30 - 18.00 Course continues 20.00: Joint dinner at Bark (own expense). Saturday 16 August
08.00 - 12.00 Course (Break approx. halfway, with fruit, etc.)
12.00 Joint lunch
13.00 Excursion
Sea fishing. The boat leaves Harstad city center at 13.00. Duration approx. 4-5 hours. Some snacks and suitable drinks / accessories are included. 19.30: Dinner at Umami - ready-made customized menu (many dishes), incl. wine menu. Sunday 17 August
09.00 - 13.00 Course (Break approx. halfway, with fruit, etc.)
13.00 Shared lunch
14.00 Excursion: Top tour, duration approx. 4 hours.
Return home late in the evening. Possibly. evening at own disp. / loose agreement for shared dinner and return home on Monday.
