Professor Jon A. Jacobson

We are pleased to present Professor Jon Jacobsen as lead speaker at SonoMSK 2024. Jon has agreed to come to Norway 13-14 September 2024 and will be able to share his vast knowledge as a radiologist in the MSK field. He is the author of the popular book "Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound", which will be published in a revised edition in 2024. Here it is possible to secure a signed edition at the congress.

Biography
jon a jacobsen 2Jon A. Jacobson, MD is a Professor of Radiology and Director of the Division of Musculoskeletal Radiology in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Jacobson is a board-certified musculoskeletal radiologist whose research interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound and MRI. His academic achievements include over 200 peer-reviewed publications and over 1100 invited national and international lectures or workshops. Dr. Jacobson has been a visiting professor on 39 occasions, is active in various medical societies, reviews for several journals, and has received numerous teaching and mentoring awards. Dr. Jacobson is the author of the textbook “Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound,” which is now in its second edition.

Areas of interest
Musculoskeletal sonography and magnetic resonance imaging.

Credentials
He is regularly invited to lecture on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging in Sports Medicine and provides advanced ultrasound skills training courses for sports physicians and sports physiotherapists both nationally and internationally.
